A Different Way to Travel by Bike in Millau and Aveyron

Le Goût du Vélo was born from a simple idea: sharing a region through its roads, landscapes and flavours.
A human-centred, local and authentic approach to travel.

Thomas Verdié : Passionate About Cycling and Aveyron

Passionate about cycling and a true food lover since my childhood in Aveyron, it all began in front of the television, spending Sunday afternoons with my family captivated by Paris–Roubaix and the Tour de France.

Before long, I felt the urge to move from spectator to participant: exploring the trails around Millau, first on a mountain bike, then across every type of terrain imaginable.

As a member of CSO Millau, I practised mountain biking, road cycling, gravel riding, racing and cycle touring, always driven by a spirit of freedom and discovery.

Life then took me elsewhere through studies and professional experiences across France and abroad. It was a wonderful journey, yet something still felt unfinished: a longing for nature, authenticity and the simple pleasure of being constantly on the move.

After returning to Millau, I surrounded myself with inspiring local communities such as Les Brebis Graveleuses and La Monotrace.

I have also lived this passion to the fullest: cycling across France twice, embarking on unforgettable adventures in the Basque Country and Aveyron, working as a guide on the Tour de France, and leading cycling holidays in many regions throughout France.

Today, my ambition is simple: to share far more than just a bike ride. To help people discover a region, meet the people who bring it to life, savour its local produce… and take the time to truly experience it.

Le Goût du Vélo brings together:

  • the joy of cycling

  • the richness of a remarkable region

  • the pleasure of sharing exceptional local produce

Here, every road tells a story.
